Open the Font Book app on your Mac. Locate the font or fonts that you wish to uninstall and remove. Select the font/fonts and uninstall and remove the font by right-clicking and click Remove Font Name Family. Lastly, confirm the removal and the font will be uninstalled and removed from your laptop.
In the Font Book app on your Mac, select one or more fonts, then press Delete. Click Remove Fonts or Remove Non-System Fonts to confirm. Removed fonts are moved to the Trash.
Fonts that macOS includes in their default font collection are called System Fonts. In recent versions of macOS, system fonts are automatically activated and locked; as such, Apple does not allow the user to deactivate, move, or remove system fonts in macOS 11 and later.
Remove fonts that you dont use In Control Panel, type Fonts in the search box at the top right. Under Fonts, click Preview, delete, or show and hide fonts. Select the font that you want to remove, and then click Delete. Delete the fonts that you dont want.
To purge the Recently Used Fonts List Close any apps that might use the Font Panel. Go to ~/Library/FontCollections. Drag com. Open Notes. Press Command-T or choose Font/Show Fonts from the Format menu in Notes. Click Recently Used Fonts in the sidebar of the Font Panel. Your Recently Used Fonts list should be empty.
In the Font Book app on your Mac, choose File New Smart Collection, then enter a name for your collection. Click the pop-up menu under Collection name, then choose All to find fonts that match all the criteria you enter, or Any to match any one of the criteria.
Restoring the standard fonts moves any fonts youve installed into a separate folder, which makes them unavailable to use in apps. In the Font Book app on your Mac, choose Font Book Settings. Click Advanced, then click Reset Fonts. Click Proceed to confirm, and enter your password if asked (or use Touch ID).
