Remove a user Open Drive and click Team dashboard in the bottom-left corner. On the left, click Users and scroll to the person. Click More and select Remove person.
Shared drives exist within Google Drive and function as a way to store, share, and access files within a team. The files in the shared drive belong to the team, not the creator, this means even if a person leaves the shared drive the files they posted remain.
Find the file or folder in Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, or Google Slides. Open or select the file or folder. Find the person you want to stop sharing with. Remove access.
Click Trash from the left navigation in Google Drive. Select the files you want to permanently delete. Click the trash can icon in the top right. Click Delete forever to confirm.
Click Apps Google Workspace Drive and Docs. Click Manage shared drives. Hover your mouse over the shared drive and click Member management. Hover your mouse over the user you need to remove and click Remove access.
Removing members Navigate to Google Drive. Click Shared Drives tab on the left-side menu. Click the desired Shared drive. Click Manage members in the upper right. Locate the members name and click the Down arrow to the right. Select Remove member. Click Done.
Find the file or folder in Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, or Google Slides. Open or select the file or folder. Click Share or Share . Find the person you want to stop sharing with. To the right of their name, click the Down arrow. Remove access. Click Save.
You can permanently delete a Drive file without moving it to the trash. After you delete a file, anyone youve shared the file with loses access to it. If you want others to retain access to the file, you can transfer ownership to someone else before deletion.
