in this video Iamp;#39;m going to show you two methods to delete all the metadata in a Microsoft Word file metadata may include author name and other information like that so first go to the file tab in the Microsoft Word document and click info here open the inspect document window and select all the things that you want to delete now click the inspect button now you will see the data available in the document and if you want to delete everything click the remove all button now close the window and you will see that the author information is deleted to show you the second method and probably the easier method click on the file word file you want to delete the metadata and go to the properties click the details tab and you can see all the metadata information here like the author name now click the remove properties and personal information and it will open up a window like this click the remove the following properties from this file radio button and select all to delete all the data

In Word for Windows, the Remove personal information option will be activated if you run the Document Inspector on the document and choose to remove personal information. Youll start the Document Inspector at File Info Check for Issues Inspect Document.
Using Document Inspector in Word (Windows) To use Document Inspector, go to File, Info and choose Inspect Document then select the appropriate content to inspect, and click Inspect. Then click Remove All. Remember always to check the details of your file to make sure all metadata has been removed
Click on the Check for Issues button, and then choose Inspect Document. Click on Inspect down in the bottom right corner. It will return the results, and the one you are concerned with is Document Properties and Personal Information. If you want to get rid of it, click on Remove All.
Select Check for Issues Inspect Document. Select the types of content that you want to inspect, and then select Inspect. Review the results. For each type of content that you want to remove from the document, select Remove All.
On the File tab, select Info. Select Check for Issues, and choose Remove Personal Information. On the Personal Information tab, select Remove these items from the document.
Right-click on the file. View its Properties. If there is metadata that you would like to remove, select the Details tab. Click Remove Properties and Personal Information.
Click Inspect. The Document Inspector will scan your file for personal information. Click Remove All if Document Inspector finds personal information in your file. Now click Close then save your document.
If you share a document with other people, you can remove personal information, such as author name and company, that Office automatically adds to a document. On the Word menu, click Preferences. Under Privacy options, select the Remove personal information from this file on save check box. Save the document.
