Turn on your Mac and immediately press and hold these four keys: Option, Command, P, and R. Release the keys after about 20 seconds. Your Mac will restart. After your Mac starts up again, adjust any system settings that were reset.
Step 1. At the start, use the keyboard and press the Command, control, and Power keys to hard reset. Step 2. Power on using the Power key, then press and hold D.
Erase your Mac Shut down your Mac. Start up from macOS Recovery, then use Disk Utility to erase your Mac. For details, follow the steps to use Disk Utility to erase your Mac. When done, quit Disk Utility but dont restart your Mac.
If youd rather directly paste the copied text elsewhere as purely plain text, use the key combination Command-Option-Shift-V and it will be automatically stripped of any formatting. This is a system-wide shortcut, so you can use it almost anywhere in macOS that accepts text input.
Erase your Mac Choose Apple menu System Settings, then click General in the sidebar. Click Transfer or Reset on the right, then click Erase All Contents and Settings. In Erase Assistant, enter your administrator information and click Unlock. Review items that will be removed in addition to your content and settings.
Choose Apple menu Restart, then immediately press and hold Command-R. In the Recovery app window, select Disk Utility, then click Continue. In Disk Utility, select the volume you want to erase in the sidebar, then click Erase in the toolbar.
From the Apple menu  in the corner of your screen, choose System Settings. Click General in the sidebar. Click Transfer or Reset on the right. Click Erase All Content and Settings.
