The computer stops responding or is stuck at the Dell logo.Perform a hard reset. Turn off the computer. Disconnect the AC adapter or power cable from the computer, and remove the battery (for Dell laptops with removable battery). Disconnect all devices such as USB drives, printers, webcams, and media cards (SD/xD).
Moisten a microfiber cloth with a mixture of 70% isopropyl alcohol / 30% water. The cloth should be damp, but not dripping wet. Excess moisture should be removed if the cloth is wet before wiping the product. Using any material other than a microfiber cloth could cause damage to your product.
Restore your Dell computer using Windows Push-Button Reset Click Start. Select Reset this PC (System Setting). Under Reset this PC, select Get Started. Select the option to Remove everything. If you are keeping this computer, select Just remove my files. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the reset process.
Use a dry, lint-free microfiber cloth to gently wipe away any visible dust and dirt. If necessary, apply gentle pressure to remove surface-level smudges. If any marks remain, wipe with a lightly moistened cloth. For glass-coated screens, you can use a mixture of equal parts water and vinegar or rubbing alcohol.
Perform System Restore. Your computer might get stuck on the welcome screen if you recently installed a corrupt or incompatible app, OS update, or driver. You can fix this by restoring your computer to a previously-created backup point using the Advanced Recovery menu.
Reset your Dell computer using Windows Reset Click Start. Select Reset this PC (System Setting). Under Reset this PC, select Get Started. Select the option to Remove everything Removes all of your personal files, apps and settings. Select Remove files and clean the drive.
