Logo Placement The corners, top center and bottom center of your document or project are generally good spots to place your logo file.
Im referring to the term clear space as it relates to logos, and more specifically, the proximity of a logo to other visual elements. A logo needs an appropriate amount of space around it in order to visually stand out and function as intended.
Use half the Icons height to determine the minimum amount of safe space that should surround the logo. If copy appears below the logo, you should measure safe space of 30 pixels from the bottom of the logo to the beginning of the text.
A person or company should never use a trademark or logo without written permission from its owner. To get permission and avoid trademark infringement, write a letter to the trademark owner. Include a description of why you are asking and how the logo will be used.
The minimum spacing requirement is 0.25 inches and should always be used when placing the primary or sub-brand logos into a printed design. In printed materials, the logo should be at least 0.25 inches in height.
The minimum clear space is the smallest margin allowed between the logo and the edge of a page, photo or body text. The margin of the clear space around the logo is defined in relation to the logos height (marked X). The bottom margin should equal to 0.5X, While the top and side margins should equal to 0.4X.
Here are some essential logo usage guidelines: Space around the logo. Color palette. Typography and font. Logo size. Description of the logo. Colors. Logo versions. Showcasing bad logo usage.
