Use Erase All Content and Settings From the Apple menu  in the corner of your screen, choose System Settings. Click General in the sidebar. Click Transfer or Reset on the right. Click Erase All Content and Settings. Dont see this button?
Heres how: Turn off your Mac. Turn it back on, then immediately press and hold command + R. Select Disk Utility from the MacOS utilities window and click Continue. Click Macintosh HD in the Disk Utility sidebar underneath internal. Click the Erase button at the top of the window.
Note: If your version of macOS has been modified, Erase Assistant cant erase your Mac and displays an alert indicating you need to first reinstall macOS. Reinstall macOS, then use Erase Assistant.
How to factory reset a MacBook without a password Boot your Mac into recovery mode. Once your Mac has booted in recovery mode and you can see the macOS Utilities screen, choose Disk Utility. When Disk Utility opens, choose your Macs boot disk in the sidebar. Click Erase in the toolbar. Click Erase.
Method 1. Restore an Erased Hard Drive Using Disk Utility Open Disk Utility on your device. Click View and select Show All Devices. Select the device from which you wish to recover data. Click Restore to initiate the process.
Choose Apple menu Restart, then immediately press and hold Command-R. In the Recovery app window, select Disk Utility, then click Continue. In Disk Utility, select the volume you want to erase in the sidebar, then click Erase in the toolbar.
For Macs using macOS Monterey or later, you can use the Erase All Content and Settings function. This will delete all your data, including iCloud and Apple logins, Apple wallet information, Bluetooth pairings, fingerprint sensor profiles, and Find My Mac settings, as well as resetting your Mac to factory settings.
Solution 3: Recover Data on Another Mac Connect your dead Mac to the working Mac using the appropriate cable. Press and hold the T key while turning on the dead Mac. Open the disk to view your data by double-clicking it on the working Mac. Drag your files to the desktop on the working Mac to transfer them.
