Select the picture with the formatting you want to remove. In the Picture Tools Format tabs Adjust group, click Reset Picture.
Cut out part of a picture Select the picture that you want to remove the background from. On the toolbar, select Picture Format Remove Background, or Format Remove Background. The default background area will be colored magenta to mark it for removal, while the foreground will retain its natural coloring.
Click the picture you want to delete, and then press Backspace.
The Reset Picture button removes all the formatting youve applied to the selected picture since you last saved your document. Select the picture with the formatting you want to remove. In the Picture Tools Format tabs Adjust group, click Reset Picture.
What to Know Insert and select the image. Then, go to the Picture Format or Format tab Remove Background. Select Keep Changes if the background has been satisfactorily removed (indicated by magenta highlight). Select Mark Areas to Keep or Mark Areas to Remove to outline areas to keep or remove. Repeat as needed.
Click the Picture tab in the window that appears, and then in the Image Control section, next to Color:, select Watermark or Washout.

Select the picture. On the Picture Format tab of the ribbon, select Remove Background. If you dont see Remove Background or the Picture Format tab, make sure that youve selected a picture. You might have to double-click the picture to select it and open the Picture Format tab.
