welcome back to learning inkscape and this time iamp;#39;m going to show you how to erase only selected elements in inkscape so just a quick tip today but someone asked me how to do that weamp;#39;ve got a text right here and a background and you can set for eraser to the width right here so for example 10 this will be smaller i want to use 50. and the question is when you do this how can you achieve it that only the text is affected and not the background so whenever you use your situa just like that both are affected the easiest way is to just select the text up front with the selection tool and make sure that itamp;#39;s still selected when you activate the eraser too so you can see the bounding box right here it also works with backgrounds when we press ctrl z iamp;#39;ll select the background then activate the eraser tool and drag it now the text is unaffected if you select both use the eraser tool both are affected so whatever you want to erase just make sure that itamp;#39;
