Delete files by size in Google Drive Log into your Google Drive account. Click Storage in the menu on the left side of the screen. 1. Remove Old Files Open Google Drive and click on the Last modified column to sort all files by date. Click on the Reverse selection arrow to show your oldest files first. Your subfolders will be shown first. Review the files and delete the ones you no longer need.
2 Free up space in Drive Find and remove large files: Go to drive.google.com/drive/quota, where your files are listed in order from biggest to smallest. Right-click a file that you want to delete and then click Move to Trash.
