After selecting the texts you want to split and copying them, open the Text Edit or the T icon below the title of the sheet. Once the Text Edit window is prompted, paste the texts by clicking Edit at the upper left side of the screen, point the arrow to Find then select Paste and Match.
In the Paragraph Styles menu, move the pointer over the name of the style you want to delete, then click the arrow that appears and choose Delete Style.
Select the column of full names that youd like to separate. Head to the Data tab Data Tools group and click Text to Columns. On the first step of the Convert Text to Columns Wizard, select the Delimited option and click Next.
Click Auto-Correction at the top of the settings window. In the Replacement section, select the tickbox next to Symbol and text substitution. , then type the text you want to replace (such as teh) in the Replace column. In the With column, type the word you want to replace it with (such as the).
To Separate First and Last Names using LEFT, RIGHT, FIND, and LEN functions in Excel, use the following formulas: Name from cell A2: =LEFT(A2,FIND(,A2)-1) Last Name from cell A2: =RIGHT(A2,LEN(A2)-FIND(,A2))
Assuming the full name is in column A: In cell B1, you can use the formula =LEFT(A1,FIND( ,A1)-1) to extract the first name. In cell C1, you can use the formula =MID(A1,FIND( ,A1)+1,LEN(A1)) to extract the last name.
Go to Insert Page Number, and then choose Remove Page Numbers. If the Remove Page Numbers button isnt available or if some page numbers are still there, double-click in the header or footer, select the page number, and press Delete.
Spilt first and last names in Excel using Formulas Step 1: Enter the formula =LEFT(A2, FIND( , A2, 1) - 1) in a blank cell (e.g., B2) to extract the first name. Step 2: Enter the formula =RIGHT(A2, LEN(A2) - FIND( , A2, 1)) in another blank cell (e.g., C2) to extract the last name.
