one thing about meniscus pads is they donamp;#39;t have good blood flow in the majority of that that meniscus tissue so they donamp;#39;t always heal so a lot of patients come in and say oh i think i have a meniscus tear many of them are wearing pterotype tears just from daylight kind of what i call almost like grinding between the bones and they can be tearing they can be tears then they canamp;#39;t be symptomatic but a lot of times those just need a little bit of a clean out or can even be treated with injection therapy if the patient doesnamp;#39;t want to undergo surgery uh the acute tears do have in some settings if theyamp;#39;re really close to the the capsule the knee they have a little bit more blood supply and they do have a better chance of healing and so thatamp;#39;s when we go and then we do the repairs and thatamp;#39;s in in not very many cases uh itamp;#39;s definitely less than one out of the ten of meniscus uh injuries that we treat
