in CSS there are two different properties that take the blur function as a value with filter and backdrop filter and sometimes I get questions about the difference between the two of them if we look at this simple example right here we have a background on both of them that has a lower value here for the alpha Channel and if we start with the regular filter blur itamp;#39;s going to filter the content that is inside of that element so if we make this a little stronger you can see that is becoming blurred and nothing else whereas with backdrop filter we can do the same thing but it is not blurring the content inside that element instead it is blurring whatever is behind that element
