hi in this video weamp;#39;re going to be discussing how to use light burn and the different settings for origin and start positions and also homing the machine and learning your position so one of the first things we can look at here in light burn is that thereamp;#39;s this start from in the laser tab and you have an option of current position um user origin or absolute coordinates the green dot will determine where your position is uh on the this is where your laser is going to be and where the start from position is so the green dots are start from position so you can choose it to be wherever your laser is at and current position it can be where thereamp;#39;s an origin and origins you set up here or you can also have just absolute coordinates which is just going to go from the bottom left of our machine because in light burn we have the front of the machine set to the bottom left notice that when we do current position you can change where itamp;#39;s going to be by th

Simply wipe off with a moistened cloth, followed by a wipe with a clean, dry cloth. Nano sponges (often referred to as dirt erasers) or erasers can also be very helpful when removing resistant residue.
Uniform Color: Staining the entire surface beforehand ensures a consistent color throughout the wood engraving area, eliminating any unwanted patches.
I usually just give it a coat of clear lacquer, but sometimes a light sanding first blow off the dust and then the clear. Stain and clear coat your wood before engraving, after engraving seal the engraving with clear coat prior to any fills, seems to work best for me this way.
There are a variety of methods that you can use to remove engraving, including sanding, polishing, and grinding. Knowing which method to use will depend on the type of material you are working with.
For this method, you will need a paper towel and white vinegar. To clean your laser engraved wood, dab your paper towel in vinegar (you can also use a soft piece of cloth) and then use it to wipe off the residue on your wood. Simply repeat the process until you are satisfied with the result.
Wetting the wood: Lightly wetting the surface of the wood before engraving/cutting will help avoid burn marks. Be careful, however, not to soak the wood for too long.
This involves sanding the wood to a smooth and even finish, as any imperfections or rough spots can affect the lasers ability to engrave accurately. The type of sandpaper used will depend on the type of wood and the desired finish, but in general, a finer grit sandpaper is recommended for better engraving results.
