Back up your data to an external hard drive, or a cloud backup service such as OneDrive. Go to Start Settings Update Security Recovery Reset PC. Select Remove everything, and then Remove files and clean the drive. Click Next, Reset, and then Continue.
How to reset your Dell laptop to factory settings Click Start in your taskbar. Click Settings Update Security Recovery. Click Get Started under Reset this PC. Select Remove everything. A message will appear asking how youd like to reinstall Windows. An Additional Settings window will open.

How to Enable Dell Data Wipe SSD Step 1: During system startup, press F2 at the Dell startup screen to boot into the system BIOS. Step 2: Check the Wipe on next boot box in the right pane. Step 3: A new pop-up window will appear to finalize the data erasure operation.

Cause. The Data Wipe feature is invoked from within BIOS Setup. At the Dell splash screen press F2 to enter BIOS Setup.
