all right so today Iamp;#39;m gonna explain to you why you might want to think twice before storing your confidential data on a SSD and thatamp;#39;s because by the end of this talk Iamp;#39;ll show you that once you put data on an SSD getting it off might be harder than you think so at the non-volatile systems lab weamp;#39;ve been doing research on reliably erasing data from solid state disks and this is research Iamp;#39;ve done with my collaborators Laura Grubb Fred Spada and my adviser Steve Swanson and what we found was that the state of the art for erasing solid state disks both entire disks and single files was unreliable and this could lead to a false sense of security so you could potentially delete a file and the file could still be left over and this without your knowledge so fortunately all is not lost because weamp;#39;ve developed a solution that will allow you to delete these files with confidence so when weamp;#39;re talking about erasing files weamp;#39;re mos
