You can play some lighter or older games on the Core i5 and i7 models with Intel Iris Xe graphics, though youll have to play at low graphical settings or at 720p to get playable frame rates. Unfortunately, it has a 60Hz display with a slow response time and no VRR support.
Place the computer on its side with the left side facing up. Press down on the securing clip to disconnect the graphics-card power cables from the graphics card. Slide the lock mechanism on the graphics-card support bracket to release it from the chassis. Slide and lift the graphics-card bracket off the chassis.
With a regular Phillips head screwdriver, remove the screw that secures the PCI retainer to the chassis. Disconnect the power cables from the video card. Push the release clip, then gently lift the PCI Express Graphics card off the system board. Slide the replacement in, being careful to lock the video card in place.
Lay the computer on the right side. Disconnect the power cables from the graphics card and remove them from the routing guides on the graphics card support bracket. Pull together the securing tabs on the graphics card support bracket and rotate to remove it off the chassis. Lift the pull tab to open the PCI-e door.
Unfortunately, the graphics card on the XPS 13 laptop cannot be upgraded. The graphics card is soldered onto the motherboard, which means it cannot be removed or replaced.
