when youamp;#39;re running mac os x you will find that under your icons at the bottom of your screen youamp;#39;ll often have these little tiny black dots and that shows that that application is currently running even though you canamp;#39;t necessarily see it on the screen so this is in this case weamp;#39;ve got finder which is pretty much always running and thatamp;#39;s fine but the other bit here that i have running is safari so i can click on safari to bring it up but if i want to actually close it so that itamp;#39;s not using up memory and resources in the background there what i need to do is click on safari and then go down to the bottom and click on quit safari now thereamp;#39;s also this uh little shortcut a lot of commands have these shortcuts to the right so you can click on command q to quit and that will be common to all applications right so instead of using the menu you could go command q and get the same effect so if we go ahead and do that choose the menu bi
