In this tutorial we will learn how to use the AttributeManager transformer. We can think of the AttributeManager as the ultimate multi-tasker; with just this one transformer: create attributes, rename attributes, copy attributes and so much more. Letamp;#39;s take a closer look. We will work with some address data; here is the table list in the FME Data Inspector. What we want is this: so, we will remove a number of fields, rename some fields, set PROVINCE to a fixed value BC and we will create a new FULL ADDRESS field by concatenating a number of attribute fields together and we will do this with just one transformer the AttributeManager. In FME Workbench, open the template which will read from Geo Database address table and write to Esri shapefile. Insert an AttributeManager between the source and destination, then open its properties. Notice that the incoming attributes are automatically listed; we will work with the next three columns Output Attribute, Attribute Value and Action.
