hello everyone how are you doing this is mdtech here with another quick tutorial in todayamp;#39;s tutorial iamp;#39;m going to show you guys how to mark index entries in microsoft word so this should hopefully be a pretty straightforward tutorial guys and without further ado letamp;#39;s go ahead and jump right into it so all you have to do is select the references tab up at the top and on the right side you want to select where it says mark entry and it says add the selected text to the index go ahead and select that so you have to go ahead and actually select text first and then select mark entry and then you can enter a sub entry here as well as a cross reference and go ahead and select mark and there you go guys simple as that and as always thank you for watching this brief tutorial do possibly help you out and i do look forward to catching you all in the next tutorial goodbye

Select the text that you want to return to its default formatting. On the Home tab, in the Font group, click Clear All Formatting. On the Home tab, in the Font group, click Clear All Formatting. On the Message tab, in the Basic Text group, click Clear All Formatting.
Turn the display of formatting marks on or off Go to Word Preferences View. Under Show Non-Printing Characters, select the check box for each formatting mark that you always want to display regardless if the Show/Hide. button is turned on or off. Clear any check boxes for ones you dont want always displayed.
Using Document Inspector in Word (Windows) To use Document Inspector, go to File, Info and choose Inspect Document then select the appropriate content to inspect, and click Inspect. Then click Remove All. Remember always to check the details of your file to make sure all metadata has been removed
Quickly toggle all formatting marks To turn formatting marks on or off, do the following: In the message window, on the Format Text tab, in the Paragraph group, click the button that looks like a paragraph mark. (When you point your mouse at the button, the tooltip says Show/Hide ). Keyboard shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+*.
Find the Display option from the list on the left-hand side of the pop-up windows screen. Look at the Always show these formatting marks on the screen, section, the second one down. Notice the checkbox next to the paragraph symbol labeled Paragraph marks. Unselect the box to turn off the paragraph marks.
To either hide or show edits in Word, follow these steps: Go to the Review tab at the top of the window. In the Tracking group, click on Show Markup. To hide all edits, uncheck all options under Show Markup. To show edits again, just check the desired options.
Delete all comments Go to the Review tab. In the Delete drop-down list, select Delete All Comments in Document.
Go to the Review tab at the top of the window. In the Tracking group, click on Show Markup. This will provide you with various options for displaying different types of edits. To hide all edits, uncheck all options under Show Markup.
