hello my name is Josiah Ray Iamp;#39;m going to show you how to permanently delete a Microsoft Word file after youamp;#39;ve saved it so here I am inside of word and Iamp;#39;m just going to come up to the office button real quick click on save as and weamp;#39;re inside of my document so itamp;#39;s important to remember this for a moment later and weamp;#39;ll just accept the default name doc one save all right now weamp;#39;re going to close word and the reason is you canamp;#39;t delete a document while itamp;#39;s open so close word and weamp;#39;re going to click on this little file icon in the lower left of the screen you can also press and hold the start or Windows key and push e so start up Windows Explorer and Iamp;#39;m going to double click on the documents thing you can also go to underneath libraries documents and you can see here in the uh my documents area we have doc one so weamp;#39;re going to click on it and right click and say delete and it ask

To view the Personal Information before removing it click on Prepare and then Document Properties. If Word finds metadata, it will prompt you to Remove All. Once you click Remove All, it cannot be undone.
On the Word menu, click Preferences. Under Personal Settings, click Security . Under Privacy options, select the Remove personal information from this file on save check box. Save the document. Notes: The following personal information is removed from your file:
Remove Metadata From Word Using a Mac Open the file from which you would like to remove metadata. Click on the Tools menu and select the Protect Document option. In the Protect Document window check the box next to Remove personal information from this file on save. Finish working on your document and then save.
