When you delete a cancelled meeting from your calendar, Outlook will ask you if you want to delete the occurrence or the series. You should choose the option that matches the cancellation email. For example, if the email says Cancelled: [Meeting name] - Entire Series, then you should choose Delete Series.
The event you are asking to edit is a Recurring Event. When you edit a Recurring Event, you have the choice to edit a specific occurrence of the recurring event, the occurrence and all future events, or the whole series (past and future) of events.
A series of meetings consists of regularly recurring meetings.
With a recurring event, you cannot edit or delete any of the occurrences individually. In contrast, event series allows you to create a mass of events at one time and then edit or delete them individually. This is because a recurring event is one event that occurs multiple times.
If you cancel or delete a meeting, ALWAYS Send Update to EVERYONE - If you cancel or delete a meeting, but you do not send the update, the meeting is only removed from your calendar.
You may choose to delete only the selected occurrence or the entire series. Confirm your decision, and Microsoft Teams will promptly update the calendar, removing the recurring meetings. Attendees will be notified of the change, facilitating clear communication.
Delete an event that you created This takes the event off your calendar, and off the calendars of everyone else invited.
Reschedule a meeting You can also change the meeting time by selecting the meeting in your Teams calendar, selecting Edit, choosing a new time, and selecting Send update. Attendees will automatically receive a notification with the updated time.
