hello welcome to my presentation to um how to create a ebook in open office with different page sequences first thing i need to do is set up my page uh parameters um go to format and page click on the page tab um you can set use whatever preferences you want most people um prefer uh five inches to buy seven inches for their uh ebook size iamp;#39;m going to put in a margin of point um 125 thatamp;#39;s 1 8 of an inch 0.125 thatamp;#39;s for my left and right margins and then point uh 25 and 0.25 there we go and um over here on the page layout format iamp;#39;m going to go to the format and change that to uh the small roman numerals and iamp;#39;m going to click ok now itamp;#39;s going to give me this warning the margin settings are outs out of print range do you still want to apply these settings yes now letamp;#39;s see i hit enter a few times move on down here i need to set up a title as the title page i see here a little fancy all right if you want to learn a little bit more

In some cases, you may find that Word has added Chapter X before some of your Heading 1 sections that arent chapters (like Acknowledgements or Bibliography). All you need to do is go to each of those sections, place your cursor after Chapter X, and press Backspace to delete it.
Select File Open in OpenOffice. On the Open dialog, navigate to the file, right-click the file and select Delete.
Click in the header and select Insert Fields Other. 3. On the fields dialog, select the Document tab, then select Type:Chapter and Format: Chapter name. Click Insert, then Close.
