Click Start. Select Reset this personal computer (System Setting). Under Reset this personal computer, select Get Started. Select the option to Remove everything to remove all your personal files, apps, and settings. Select Remove files and clean the drive.
The Data Wipe feature is invoked from within BIOS Setup. At the Dell splash screen press F2 to enter BIOS Setup. Locate the hard drive and remove the data and power cables. Grasp and pull on the plug and not the cable to avoid damage. Press the hard drive bracket latch towards the hard drive and lift it upwards. Flex the hard drive bracket, then remove the hard drive from the bracket.
Restore your Dell computer using Windows Push-Button Reset Click Start. Select Reset this PC (System Setting). Under Reset this PC, select Get Started. Select the option to Remove everything. If you are keeping this computer, select Just remove my files. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the reset process.
Wiping your hard drive Go to Start Settings Update Security Recovery Reset PC. Select Remove everything, and then Remove files and clean the drive. Click Next, Reset, and then Continue.
