hey everybody welcome back to forsake and i want to do something a little different uh i mentioned it a while ago about showing people how to take off a personalization say you buy an autograph that youamp;#39;ve been looking for or you canamp;#39;t get any more because the personamp;#39;s passed away and it says 2 mark or to john and you know youamp;#39;re neither one of those people and youamp;#39;d rather take it off so iamp;#39;m going to show you how to the way iamp;#39;ve learned how to take a personalization off or even an autograph or any kind of marks on there theyamp;#39;ve done extra with a sharpie uh iamp;#39;m not too sure about paint pens uh i think you got to use maybe like a little harsher chemical but as far as the different sharpies iamp;#39;m going to show you how to do because thatamp;#39;s a lot of what people use paint pens you can kind of chip off you can kind of scratch off or look at it still wonamp;#39;t look that good but uh i want to show you how

Dont wash the shirt in hot water with any detergent the first time. Wash it in cold and dry on low heat. Then when you wash it the next time, use minimal soap. It should stay with only a little fading.
Is Sharpie permanent on clothing? Well, Sharpies are intended to be permanent markers, but the reality is the marks do fade somewhat with frequent washing. If spot-treated using our methods weve outlined, Sharpie marks really dont stand a chance!

Theres no reason to keep your signed jersey smelling bad or looking dirty just because youre afraid of ruining the autograph. As long as your favorite athlete used permanent marker, which is standard, then it can usually be washed properly while leaving the ink perfectly intact.
Permanent marker is meant to be permanent! However, repeated washing (especially with hot water) and drying probably will make the autograph fade. Dear S.J.: Yes, baking soda does the trick cheaply, efficiently and all while being eco-friendly. Make sure the stovetop is cool before cleaning!
Protect it from UV rays The solution is to invest in a UV protective display case, which will mitigate any solar radiation. Its worth spending a little extra money to protect an autograph that could be worth thousands in years to come.
For washing, turn the fabric inside out if possible, so the marked portion is on the inside. Use only cold water and gentle detergent; the fabric can be dried in the dryer or hung to air dry.
Take a dry erase marker and color over the permanent marker. Wipe it off. Repeat.
