dear friends if you have macbook pro 13-inch m1 2020 laptop and when you are trying to update mac os picture if you are getting authentication error i will tell you how to resolve this so if you are going to the apple symbol and click on about this mac and click on this software update and click on this update now then it will say software update is trying to authenticate user so you should have a username and password but when you are putting that mean privileged username and password it wonamp;#39;t allow you to update mac os mixer so suppose my password i am putting see my password is not accepting so i checked in most of the blocks and i found the smc chip reset option by pressing this control option shift on the left side so i tried that option but it was not working properly itamp;#39;s again showing the same issue what you need to do is you need to go to the repair utility so cancel this and close here then shut down your mac so here you can see the power button press and hold

For Safari users on Mac: Click the Safari menu at the top bar. Click Settings. Click the Autofill icon. Uncheck all settings in Autofill.
Erase your Mac Shut down your Mac. Start up from macOS Recovery, then use Disk Utility to erase your Mac. For details, follow the steps to use Disk Utility to erase your Mac. When done, quit Disk Utility but dont restart your Mac.

From the Apple menu  in the corner of your screen, choose System Settings. Click General in the sidebar. Click Transfer or Reset on the right. Click Erase All Content and Settings.

In Erase Assistant, enter your administrator information and click Unlock. Review items that will be removed in addition to your content and settings.
With Activation Lock, your Apple ID password or device passcode is required before anyone can turn off Find My, erase your Mac, or reactivate and use your Mac. Even if you erase your Mac remotely, Activation Lock can continue to deter others from reactivating your Mac without your permission.
