hi guys Im going to show you today how to use a sublime plugin called indent XML now sometimes youll have text like this for example this XML where all the tags are basically interlaced with each other theres no separation and its really really hard to read so what you want to do is you want to separate it out by the tags line by line so you can actually read it a lot easier so what you want to do in this case is go to ctrl shift P go to package control package click enter and what you want to look for is indent XML and click enter now once its installed what itll do is itll fix your XML and itll itll do the tags line by line now the only problem with this is if you have something like this for example where you have a opening tag of the of item here and then the closing tag is here and then the next one is an item as well and then closing tag its over and over again what happens is when you run it which is ctrl K ctrl F youll get a little warning down here

In an XML document, the usual way to represent a null value is to leave the element or attribute empty. Some business messages use a special value to represent a null value: -999 .
Empty XML Elements An element with no content is said to be empty. The two forms produce identical results in XML software (Readers, Parsers, Browsers). Empty elements can have attributes.
Typically, the XML parsers (XMLNSC, XMLNS, and XML) do not create null values in the message tree; an empty element or an empty attribute value merely produces an empty string value in the message tree.

Its not valid xml. Valid xml requires an xml declaration with encoding type and a root node. Whether or not Oracle or SQL Server will accept it anyway is something you can check for yourself. MSSQL column is fine with empty string and even a free text which is not in any XML style.
In your message action (e.g. Publish) right click the text (String) {XML} node and select Properties. Set the check box Send NULL values. Your message action should now send an XML nil as the node value.

In XML, you can indicate an empty element like this: or you can use an empty tag, like this (this sort of element syntax is called self-closing): The two forms above produce identical results in an XML parser.

All replies if you annotate your property with XmlIgnore attribute it will never be serialized. XmlIgnore tells the XmlSerializer to ignore the field/property entirely. PropertyString is null and as a result is not serialized.
