The ASCII NUL character is used to denote the end of the string in C or C++. When programmer used '0' (character 0) it is treated as 0x30. This is a hexadecimal number. The decimal equivalent is 48.
A character that is all 0 bits. Also written as "NUL," it is the first character in the ASCII and EBCDIC data codes. In hex, it displays and prints as 00; in decimal, it may appear as a single zero in a chart of codes, but displays and prints as a blank space.
A binary null character is just a char with an integer/ASCII value of 0. You can create a null character with Convert. ToChar(0) or the more common, more well-recognized '\0' .
The C NUL is a single character that compares equal to 0. The C NULL is a special reserved pointer value that does not point to any valid data object. The SQL null value is a special value that is distinct from all non-null values and denotes the absence of a (non-null) value.

\0 is the same as \0n where n is also 0, and is used as a null character. Kind of equivalent to Epsilon in RE, which is used to represent a string that is null. \0 isn't printed because it's a control character, but that doesn't mean it's disregarded by the compiler.
The value 0 (all bits at zero) is a typical value used in memory to denote null . It means that there is no value associated with name . You can also think of it as the absence of data or simply no data.
The answer to that is rather simple: a NULL means that there is no value, we're looking at a blank/empty cell, and 0 means the value itself is 0.
The NUL character (hex 00) is used internally by the editor to delimit strings. It is therefore not possible to save this character in your buffer.
