Hi Friends Welcome to the new series Angular Interview concepts with explanation. In this series, I am explaining some of the concepts those are most focussed on angular interviews. If you just prepare for your angular interview like a question and answer format, it wont help you a lot. If the same question is asked differently, you may struggle. Instead, if you understand the core concept behind that, you will not forget forever and you can easily answer. That is what I am trying to explain with some examples. Lets start. As part of Angular Hero to Superhero advanced concept series, I have explained how we can create and use Observable and Promise for handling asynchronous functionalities. And the last video in this interview concept series is about the difference between Observable and promise. If you have not seen those videos yet, please see those before this video. I have provided the links in the description. In this video, I am going to explain the differences between Observab

Use a Subject when Or you want to set a time window for the values can be validly sent to subscribers. Use an AsyncSubject when you only want the last value to be passed to the subscribers. Use a Void Subject if you dont want to pass any value but just want to hook into the event.
The main difference between an Observable and a Subject is that a plain Observable by default is unicast. It means that each subscribed Observer owns an independent execution of the Observable. On the other hand, Subjects are multicast. A Subject is like an Observable, but it can multicast to many Observers.
AsyncSubject is a variant of a Subject which keeps the last value emitted by a source observable before completion and sends it to all new subscriptions.
AsyncSubject is a variant of Subject where only the last value of the Observable execution is sent to its observers, and only when the execution is complete. Until the Observable is complete, there will not be any value subscribed to the subscribers.
Subject - No initial value or replay behavior. AsyncSubject - Emits latest value to observers upon completion. BehaviorSubject - Requires an initial value and emits its current value (last emitted item) to new subscribers. ReplaySubject - Emits specified number of last emitted values (a replay) to new subscribers.
Subjects are a type of Observable. However, unlike an Observable, Subjects can emit events/values to its subscribers using the next() function. Therefore, you can publish changes (using next()) to a Subject and listen for changes (using subscribe()).
Because subjects are observers, they can be passed directly into a subscribe call, and all the events from the original observable will be sent through the subject to its subscribers. We can use the ReplaySubject to track history. A ReplaySubject records the last n events and plays them back to every new subscriber.
Subscribe to a Subject log(`From Subject : ${v}`) }); subjecttest. subscribe({ next: (v) = console. log(`From Subject: ${v}`) }); The subscription is registered to the subject object just like addlistener we discussed earlier.
