Did you know the Universe is full of voids? Areas where very few things exist. Botes void or the Great Nothing is such a place. When you look up at the night sky, everything seems to be the same. Countless stars spread out in fairly uniform fashion. But huge areas such as Botes void are different and contain very few objects. The Universe is a structure on its own: long filaments of dark matter threaded with galaxies and clusters of galaxies punctuated by vast voids. These voids are just that; areas devoid of matter. To truly understand the Universe, we may have to gaze into the abyss. The largest known void in the Universe is Botes void. This massive empty spherical region in space is about 330 million light-years in diameter. It accounts for 0.27% of the diameter of the entire Universe, which itself is a daunting 93 billion light-years across. Botes void is a massive expanse of empty space unlike any other ever observed. This place lies about 700 millio

An Amazon Machine Image (AMI) is a master image for the creation of virtual servers -- known as EC2 instances -- in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment. The machine images are like templates that are configured with an operating system and other software that determine the users operating environment.
An AMI includes the following: One or more Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS) snapshots, or, for instance-store-backed AMIs, a template for the root volume of the instance (for example, an operating system, an application server, and applications).
Sign in to the AWS Management Console, and then open the AWS Billing and Cost Management console. In the navigation pane, on the left hand side, choose Bills. For Date, choose a month.
To increase the storage disk size, follow these steps: Locate the instance in your EC2 dashboard and click on the Instance ID. Click on the Storage tab and then on the Volume ID. In the Actions dropdown at the top of the page, click Modify Volume. Set the new size and save.
After switching to the new EC2 console, select the Volumes option from the left side panel under Elastic Block Store. It will display all the available EBS volumes there. Select the EBS volume of the instance you want to resize and click on the Action button on top.
With Amazon EBS Elastic Volumes, you can increase the volume size, change the volume type, or adjust the performance of your EBS volumes. If your instance supports Elastic Volumes, you can do so without detaching the volume or restarting the instance.
Simply go to the CloudWatch dashboard in your AWS console and click on Metrics. Youll see a new CWAgent card. After you click on this card, you should see your EC2 memory usage in a graph.
Below I have logged in and am on the windows ec2 machine and have clicked on storage tab to find the volume I wish to increase. Click on the storage volume link and it will take you to the storage section on the console. Right click and choose Modify Volume.
Open the Amazon EC2 console at . In the navigation pane, choose Instances. Select the instance. On the Storage tab, the Block devices section lists the volumes that are attached to the instance. To view information about a specific volume, choose its ID in the Volume ID column.
AMI is divided into two categories: EBS - backed Instances. Instance Store - backed Instances.
