in this video youre going to learn how to cancel an envelope as the sender of the envelope [Music] okay so in this demo im going to show you how you can cancel your envelopes which is also called voiding envelopes in docHubs lingo and why you should cancel them and the implications of doing so and what to do when you want to resend an envelope that youve just sent you need to know that once you void your envelopes its irreversible you cant unvoid the envelope you cant do anything to reactivate the transaction youve just voided you will have to send a new envelope and because of that you want to think about the reason you want to void the envelope first to see whether thats the best option so for example if you just want to change the email address or name of one of the recipients you can just do this by correcting the envelope and so the way you would do this is youll just go to your manage tab and go to your sent items and then from there youll just look at an envelope tha

Voiding envelopes in is an easy way to cancel the envelope. If youve made an error, you need to follow the instructions to correct or edit an envelope instead, you dont necessarily have to create a new envelope. You should use Void when you no longer wish to use that envelope.
Voiding stops recipients from viewing or signing the document. You can also void an envelope to stop email notifications to a recipient if the recipient does not want to or need to sign the envelope.
Note: You cannot unvoid an envelope. Once you void an envelope, or if a signer refuses to sign, which voids the envelope, there is no way to reactivate the transaction. Your only options are to create a copy of the voided envelope and start the transaction over again or create a new envelope from scratch.
You can only Correct or Void envelopes in an In-process state: Created, Sent and Delivered. Once an envelope is in a terminal state: Completed (signed), Declined and Voided it can no longer be Corrected or Voided. You will need to contact the sender to negotiate with the sender to delete the document.
In law, void means of no legal effect. An action, document, or transaction which is void is of no legal effect whatsoever: an absolute nullitythe law treats it as if it had never existed or happened.
Voiding envelopes in cancels the signing process and signing request for any remaining signers and places a VOID watermark on the document(s). All recipients will receive a final notification that the envelope has been voided, and senders are required to enter a reason when voiding envelopes.
Voiding stops recipients from viewing or signing the document. You can also void an envelope to stop email notifications to a recipient if the recipient does not want to or need to sign the envelope. Notes: If you are the signer and you wish to void or cancel an envelope, you can decline to sign to cancel the envelope.
Voiding a document cancels all outstanding signing activities. Once you void a document, recipients can no longer view or sign it.
