Declare text to be the document's date. The text doesn't need to be in a date format; it can be any text at all. If you omit \date then LaTeX uses the current date (see \today ). To have no date, instead use \date{} .
The \vspace command adds vertical space. The length of the space can be expressed in any terms that LaTeX understands, i.e., points, inches, etc. You can add negative as well as positive space with an \vspace command. LaTeX removes vertical space that comes at the end of a page.
To suppress the page number on the first page, add \thispagestyle{empty} after the \maketitle command. The second page of the document will then be numbered "2". If you want this page to be numbered "1", you can add \pagenumbering{arabic} after the \clearpage command, and this will reset the page number.
In LaTeX, unnumbered sections, subsections, and so forth can be produced by adding an asterisk to the sectioning command, as in this example.
If you'd prefer your sections, subsection, and so forth to be displayed without numbers on the left side of the title, you simply add a * symbol to the command. (Note that section headings created this way will not be listed in the table of contents \tableofcontents.)
If you want to put a specific date then type it in the argument to \date{...}. If you do not want a date then type \date{} with the argument empty. \documentclass: This is always the first line (command) in any LaTeX file.
To suppress page numbers on a single page, use \thispagestyle{empty} somewhere within the text of the page.
If you'd prefer your sections, subsection, and so forth to be displayed without numbers on the left side of the title, you simply add a * symbol to the command. (Note that section headings created this way will not be listed in the table of contents \tableofcontents.)
An empty line consists of only a newline character. The default body numbering type is t. Changes the default delimiter characters to characters x and y. If only x is specified, only the first delimiter character is changed.
To not include a date, you can use the command \nodate. Now the body of the document starts; this is signaled to LaTeX by the \begin{document} command. The first command within the document body is \maketitle, which uses the title and author defined in the preamble to create a title section in the output file.
