hi everyone its Ryan on the syntax Pike in this video were gonna have a quick look at doing email address validation in Microsoft Excel so I have a number of email addresses here some of which are valid and some of which are not in this video were gonna have a look at identifying which ones of these are valid and getting rid of the ones that are not as well as preventing anyone from entering anymore in invalid email addresses into the column so in order to start this Im going to select my column a which is the column I have my email addresses in when I click this data tab here its already selected Im gonna click this data validation button over here Im going to change from allow any value to just custom were gonna enter a formula that will verify the email address for it I have the formula in notepad here as its quite complicated Ill briefly go over what it does and then Ill have a link in the description where you guys can just copy and paste the formula the only thing Ill
