Related party transactions eliminated in the preparation of consolidated or combined financial statements are not required to be disclosed in those statements.
"Related Party Transaction" means any transaction, arrangement or relationship, or any series of similar transactions, arrangements or relationships, in which (i) the Company or any of its subsidiaries is or will be a participant, and (ii) any Related Party has or will have a direct or indirect interest.
Related-party transactions must be reported transparently to ensure that all actions are legal and ethical and do not compromise shareholder value.

Although not an exhaustive definition, this includes: Family members, such as brothers, sisters, spouses, ancestors, and lineal descendants. 1) Is a related party a third party?- Third parties include unrelated business entities such as unrelated vendors, customers, banks etc. Related parties include group companies such as holding company, subsidiary company, key management personnel and shareholders that have substantial interest in the business entity.

Family members. Family members are related parties. The definition of family members is limited to siblings, spouses, ancestors and lineal descendants.
