Apache OpenOffice inserts revision marks when you revise the document, but only when the Track Changes feature is turned on. Launch Apache OpenOffice Writer and open the document you wish to revise. Click Edit, select Changes, and then click Record to turn off the Track Changes feature.
You can toggle with the ins key of your keyboard or click the switch in the status bar (bottom area of the AOO window).
Changing a style using the Style dialog box To change an existing style using the Style dialog box, right-click on the style in the Styles and Formatting window and select Modify from the pop-up menu. The dialog box displayed depends on the type of style selected.
