so lets talk about how to globally change the width of a group of traces in eagle instead of having to say get the info for each individual trace and change it there that would get very tedious so what im going to do is im going to open up the selection filter here im going to click wire and then im going to click top and bottom by holding down the shift key to get both of those and now im going to get the group tool you could type group or you could use the little group tool icon over here what im going to do is im just going to grab everything but you could of course grab a subset and i found that i need to use a selection or the border here has its width changed as well anyway this is tricky so what im going to do is im going to type change width to whatever width i want it to be changed to and here im going to go with 6 mils now importantly this is not what i actually want six mils is way too small for this kind of board but im just doing a little demonstration here oka

Technically, a via is a plated hole that connects copper traces between various PCB layers. Vias are what make multilayer PCBs routing possible. To make a via, the manufacturer drills a hold on the PCB on the spot where two or more traces overlap.
The term via (or via hole) means an electrical connection between different layers of a printed circuit board. Via is basically a small hole made through the PCB laminates that crosses two or more adjacent layers.
Vias are basically conducting holes on the PCB. They electrically connect one PCB Layer with another, say, connecting the top PCB layer with the bottom PCB layer. Vias could also connect layers in between. On the other hand, Traces are meant to conduct electricity from one PCB component or PCB pad to the other.
Trace-Related Specifications in PCB Fabrication Trace widths narrower than 5 mils (0.005) Trace spacing closer than 5 mils. Via holes with a diameter smaller than 8 mils. Trace thickness thinner or thicker than 1 ounce (which equates to 1.4 mils)
The 3W rule for crosstalk states that parallel traces should be at least 3W away from each other, measured from center to center of the trace, to minimize coupling between them, where W = width of your trace.
4.1 PCB Trace Width Rule of Thumb There is a general rule of thumb that you can follow for most of the applications. The minimum trace route width to apply is 1.0 mm/A. It is applicable for 1.0 oz/ft2 of copper thickness, commonly used for various PCBs. We have almost come to the end of our guide.
If the traces are too thin, they can get hot and even burn through. Power traces routed on the internal layers of the board also need to be wider for heat dispersal than those routed on the external layers, as exposure to the air will provide more cooling.
With digital signals, the typical rule is to simply follow the 3W rule, where the clearance between traces is triple the width of the trace. For a typical 50 Ohm controlled impedance microstrip, your trace width will be ~20 mils, thus the recommended PCB trace spacing is 60 mils.
