so lets talk about how to globally change the width of a group of traces in eagle instead of having to say get the info for each individual trace and change it there that would get very tedious so what im going to do is im going to open up the selection filter here im going to click wire and then im going to click top and bottom by holding down the shift key to get both of those and now im going to get the group tool you could type group or you could use the little group tool icon over here what im going to do is im just going to grab everything but you could of course grab a subset and i found that i need to use a selection or the border here has its width changed as well anyway this is tricky so what im going to do is im going to type change width to whatever width i want it to be changed to and here im going to go with 6 mils now importantly this is not what i actually want six mils is way too small for this kind of board but im just doing a little demonstration here oka

For most manufacturers, the minimum trace width should be 6mil or 0.152mm. That limitation comes from their manufacturing (etching) processes and the target yield. But to have some tolerance, we generally use 10-12 mil or 0.254-0.3 mm traces.
If the traces are too thin, they can get hot and even burn through. Power traces routed on the internal layers of the board also need to be wider for heat dispersal than those routed on the external layers, as exposure to the air will provide more cooling.
The larger the trace width is, the lower the impedance will be. The thinner the trace width, the more impedance is offered. Increasing the board thickness increases the impedance while reducing it will decrease the impedance.
Essentially, there are two types of traces, either exogenic ones, which are made on the surface of the sediment (such as tracks) or endogenic ones, which are made within the layers of sediment (such as burrows).
T40 is 40 mil width= 1.016mm .
Under the IPC 2221 voltage and spacing standards, the minimum PCB clearance rules (really, the clearance between any two conductors) is 0.1 mm for general-purpose devices or 4 mils. For power conversion devices, this minimum PCB trace with and spacing is 0.13 mm, or 5.1 mils.
4.1 PCB Trace Width Rule of Thumb The minimum trace route width to apply is 1.0 mm/A. It is applicable for 1.0 oz/ft2 of copper thickness, commonly used for various PCBs.
The 3.3v runs around 45mm and the 5v is just over 30mm.
