To modify all rows or columns: Locate and click the Select All button just below the name box to select every cell in the worksheet. Position the mouse over a row line so the cursor becomes a double arrow. Click and drag the mouse to increase or decrease the row height, then release the mouse when you are satisfied.
Click the cell where you want to enter a reference to another cell. Type an equals (=) sign in the cell. Click the cell in the same worksheet you want to make a reference to, and the cell name is automatically entered after the equal sign. Press Enter to create the cell reference.
Here is how to do this: Select the cells where you have the text. Go to Data Data Tools Text to Columns. In the Text to Column Wizard Step 1, select Delimited and press Next. In Step 2, check the Other option and enter @ in the box right to it. In Step 3, General setting works fine in this case. Click on Finish.
Apply conditional formatting based on text in a cell Select the cells you want to apply conditional formatting to. Click the first cell in the range, and then drag to the last cell. To do this, click on the Edit menu, then click on Find and Replace. In the Find what field, type in the text or value that you want to replace. In the Replace with field, type in the text or value that you want to use as a replacement. Then, click on the Replace All button.
Use the IF function, one of the logical functions, to return one value if a condition is true and another value if its false. For example: =IF(A2B2,Over Budget,OK) =IF(A2=B2,B4-A4,)
Excel IF function with text Commonly, you write an IF statement for text values using either equal to or not equal to operator. Translated into plain English, the formula says: return No if B2 is equal to delivered, Yes otherwise.
