okay then so in our project so far we havent talked about state or data much now when we talk about the state of a component we just mean the data being used in that component at that point in time now that state could be an array of values booleans strings objects or any other data that our component uses now we created some variables and we used them in our templates before which worked but what if we had variables or data that we wanted to change over time or in reaction to some event like a user clicking a button well lets first of all try that so notice at the minute i still have this button which references this handle click function and theres nothing in there at the minute now lets create a variable so im going to say lets name equal to mario and then what i want to do is output this name inside the template so p tag and then output the name now if i preview this its going to show that name and it works but what if when i click on this button i want to change this name w

CSS can be added to HTML documents in 3 ways: Inline - by using the style attribute inside HTML elements. Internal - by using a element in the section. External - by using a element to link to an external CSS file.
Changing the state Object To change a value in the state object, use the this. setState() method. When a value in the state object changes, the component will re-render, meaning that the output will change ing to the new value(s).
State describes the status of the entire program or an individual object. It could be text, a number, a boolean, or another data type. Its a common tool for coordinating code. For example, once you update state, a bunch of different functions can instantly react to that change.
Open the form editor for the content type. Add your overriding CSS styles to a block in the WYSIWYG editor. Using HTML Code in this way creates an internal stylesheet (on the page) that overrides any same-specificity CSS defined in the external stylesheets of your themes and modules.
With JavaScript, we are able to set CSS styles for one or multiple elements in the DOM, modify them, remove them or even change the whole stylesheet for all your page.
To override the CSS properties of a class using another class, we can use the ! important directive. In CSS, ! important means this is important, and the property:value pair that has this directive is always applied even if the other element has higher specificity.
Use the Styles pane when you want to change or add CSS declarations to an element. Right-click the Add a background color to me! text below and select Inspect. Click element.style near the top of the Styles pane. Type background-color and press Enter . Type honeydew and press Enter .
How does it work? First, we create an object which will represent our datas starting state. Next, we create our components that return a template string. Now, for the changes to update in our DOM we create a render function. We create a function that updates the current number when we click on the increment button.
The easiest way to modify the content of an HTML element is by using the innerHTML property.Example explained: The HTML document above contains an element with id=id01 We use the HTML DOM to get the element with id=id01 A JavaScript changes the content ( innerHTML ) of that element to New Heading
