friends while drilling the femoral tunnel in case of acl reconstruction so for example the tunnel length is 40 mm the total length of the tunnel is 40 and you are planning to place 25 mm of the graft in the femur tunnel so you should drill till 35 so 10 mm extra you have to drill so that the button comes flips so that extra 10 mm is for the button to flip so here you can see so the total length of the tunnel will be equal to length of the graft in the tunnel plus if you use a fixed button like 15 or 20 endo button so the remaining distance will be the end of it so if the total tunnel length is 40 if you want to the graph to be 25 the length of the button will be 15.

Many patients typically achieve their full range of motion in three to four weeks and regain their pre-injury strength in three to four months. Full recovery from ACL surgery may take six to 12 months.
ACL reconstruction is typically an outpatient procedure. The surgeon will remove the damaged ligament, then replace it with a new oneeither an autograft (tissue taken from another part of the body, such as the kneecap tendons or hamstring) or an allograft (tissue from a deceased donor).
ACL Sprains This type of ACL sprain occurs when the fibers of the ligament are stretched, but a tear does not exist. For the most part, the knee will remain stable. Symptoms of a Grade I sprain include tenderness, swelling, moderate knee pain, and some limit to mobility.
And, while strong, this tissue can overstretch or tear fairly easily. Unlike other tissue in the body, the ACL ligament doesnt have a blood supply. That means the ACL cant heal on its own when damaged. As a result, some ACL injuries require surgery to provide the best recovery outcomes.
The ACL measures 31-38 mm in length and 10-12 mm in width, with the anteromedial bundle (6-7 mm) slightly thicker than the posterolateral bundle (5-6 mm) 5.
ACL injuries can either be complete or partial. While complete ACL tears almost always require surgery, partial ACL tears may be treated effectively with nonsurgical methods. ACL tears are graded by severity and are called sprains (a sprain is a stretch or tear in a ligament).
The causes of TW are presumed to be multifactorial, with both biological and mechanical features. Biological factors include osteolytic cytokines that enter the space between the graft and the bone through the synovial fluid.
1 The incidence of mucoid degeneration is reported to be between 1.0 and 5.3%, with a mean age ranging from 31 to 78 years.2, 3, 4 Typically, ACL mucoid degeneration is characterized by thickening of the ACL due to the deposition of mucinous material, which impinges on the notch or into the lateral compartment, causing
