To update your template, open the file, make the changes you want, and then save the template. Click File Open. Double-click This PC. Browse to the Custom Office Templates folder thats under My Documents. Click your template, and click Open. Make the changes you want, then save and close the template.
Tip: If you want your second page to start at 1 rather than 2, go to Insert Page Number Format Page Numbers, and set Start at under Page Numbering to 0, rather than 1.
Change Page Size Click the Layout tab. Click the Size button. Select the size you want to use. If the size you want to use doesnt appear in the list, select More Paper Sizes. The Paper tab of the Page Setup dialog box appears, where you can enter a custom paper size.
Right-click on the link within the Word document and choose Linked Worksheet Object and Links. In the Links dialog click on the Change Source button and browse to the linked Excel document in the current engagement. The link in the Word document will be updated correctly.
You can modify the Normal template to change its default formatting or content so that any new document that you create will use the new settings.
