Drawing Shapes on Cartesian Plots You can create layout shapes programatically, but you can also draw shapes manually by setting the dragmode to one of the shape-drawing modes: drawline , drawopenpath , drawclosedpath , drawcircle , or drawrect .
Adding attributes. We can change the shape of points with a property called shape in geompoint() function. We can add color to the points which is added in the required scatter plots.
Change R base plot point shapes The default R plot pch symbol is 1, which is an empty circle. You can change this to pch = 19 (solid circle) or to pch = 21 (filled circle). To change the color and the size of points, use the following arguments: col : color (hexadecimal color code or color name).
You can change the number to plot different shapes, i.e. geompoint(shape = x) . If you want to change point shapes based on a grouping variable, then first set the shape with the grouping variable in geompoint and then use scaleshapemanual to choose the desired shapes (optional).

Geoms that draw points have a shape parameter. Legal shape values are the numbers 0 to 25, and the numbers 32 to 127. Only shapes 21 to 25 are filled (and thus are affected by the fill color), the rest are just drawn in the outline color.
The default value for shape is 19 (a filled-in circle), but you can specify any value between 0 to 25.
Change point shapes, colors and sizes manually : The functions below can be used : scaleshapemanual() : to change point shapes. scalecolormanual() : to change point colors. scalesizemanual() : to change the size of points.
shape = 21, filled circle blue. shape = 22, filled square blue. shape = 23, filled diamond blue.
