However not everybody knows all the different things that it can do. Let me start off with a simple one. You can get the word count of your document by simply going to View, then Show Word Count or Shift Command W. This brings up the word count at the bottom of the screen. It tells you the word count of the entire document. But if you select some text it will tell you the word count of just that selection. Choose Edit Substitutions Show Substitutions (from the Edit menu at the top of your computer screen). In the Substitutions window, select the Text Replacement checkbox, then click Text Preferences. , then type the text you want to replace (such as teh) in the Replace column.

To insert a Sum, position the insertion point in the cell, then choose Table Sum, or click the Sum button (see Figure 1) on the toolbar. The Sum function determines the correct range by counting the number of cells above it, or, if there arent any cells above it, by counting the cells to the left.
You can create simple or complex arithmetic formulas to perform calculations on the values in your tables. Click the cell where you want the result to appear, then type the equal sign (=). Click the cell to use as the first argument in your formula, or type a value (for example, a number such as 0 or 5.20).
On Pages page, click the Actions context menu. for the respective page and select Revision History. In page content editing mode, in the toolbar, click Revision History.
