Hello everyone. This video will demonstrate how to create original bibliographic records in WorldShare Record Manager. For information on policies and standards for contributing original records to WorldCat, consult Bibliographic Formats and Standards at .oclc.org/bibformats. When you have searched WorldCat and determined that you need to contribute a new record, there are two ways to do it. You can derive your original record from an existing record. You complete a MARC work form or a text view work form. Here we are in Record Manager. Lets look at the different ways to create new records in Record Manager. First, lets derive a record from an existing WorldCat record. Retrieve the record from which you want to derive. So, I will start by searching for the record by its OCLC number. Now, this is a sound recording of a seminar for lawyers. But what we need is a video record of this seminar. To do this, I can click on the Derive button in the search result
