hey whatamp;#39;s going guys so this is gonna be a really quick video and basically in this video Iamp;#39;m going to show you how to open an Excel or any type of file is rate only so the first step is you need to have a file and here Iamp;#39;m a hollow word excel file and if I open this excel file and you can see that this files not only I can make any changes I want so let me close this file and to make the fire rate only you want to slide the file and right click and go to properties and under the general tab and if you go to the bottom thereamp;#39;s an attribute session and make sure the real only is checked you can also have the option to set the files hitting but usually yes you can go to our files and options and to set the visibility up hitting file as visible as well so most of the time the hitting attribute or feature is not very useful but anyway so make sure you set that we only a check box check and click on apply now next time we open the file and you will see that

Set up a shared workbook Click the Review tab. Click Share Workbook in the Changes group. On the Editing tab, click to select the Allow changes by more than one user at the same time. In the Save As dialog box, save the shared workbook on a network location where other users can gain access to it.
On the Review tab, in the Changes group, click Share Workbook. On the Editing tab, clear the Allow changes by more than one user check box.
For access permissions, select Permissions, and then select Add. In the Enter the object names to select (examples) box, type the names of the users you want to be able to edit the ranges. To see how usernames should be entered, select examples. To verify that the names are correct, select Check Names.
Make sure your data source has a column for email addresses and that theres an email address for each intended recipient. Go to Mailings Select Recipients. Choose a data source. For more info, see Data sources you can use for a mail merge. Choose File Save.
Protect a sheet Select Review Manage Protection. To turn on protection, in the Manage Protection task pane, select Protect sheet. By default, the entire sheet is locked and protected. Optionally, to require a password to edit a range, select Range password, enter and confirm the password, and then select Save.
Click Review Share Workbook. On the Editing tab, select the Allow changes by more than one user check box. On the Advanced tab, select the options that you want to use for tracking and updating changes, and then click OK.
Open the file. Select File Info. Select Protect Workbook, point to Restrict Permission by People, and then select Restricted Access.
On the Review tab, select Protect Sheet. In the Allow all users of this worksheet to list, choose the elements that you want users to be able to change.
