What are QR Code encoding types? Numeric only - This mode can store a maximum of 7,089 characters. Alphanumeric - This input mode can store a maximum of 4,296 characters. Binary/Byte - This type can store a maximum of 2,953 characters.
To efficiently store data, QR codes use four standardized modes of encoding: (i) numeric, (ii) alphanumeric, (iii) byte or binary, and (iv) kanji.
Version number There are 40 different QR code versions and specific areas near the position markers tell the reader which version the code is if it is a version from 6 to 40. The reader can work out QR code versions from 1-5 using other areas of the code.
In Crystal Reports for Enterprise, create a report based on any data source, or open a report. By default, the QR Code value is encoded by using ISO88591 , which supports all characters from the ISO/IEC 8859-1 character set. To enable support for all Unicode characters, set the encoding to UTF8 . The UTF-8 encoding is not included in the specifications and is not supported by all readers.
