Dithering is used in computer graphics to create the illusion of color depth in images on systems with a limited color palette. In a dithered image, colors that are not available in the palette are approximated by a diffusion of colored pixels from within the available palette.
Ezgifs online image text editor allows you to write your text over an animated GIF image without losing the animation, it can add subtitles/annotation to the whole clip or change the text on different frames/parts of the GIF. You can use drag and drop to position the text on the image.
A higher dithering percentage creates the appearance of more colors and more detail in an image, but can also increase the file size. For optimal compression, use the lowest percentage of dither that provides the color detail you require. Images with primarily solid colors may work well with no dither.
Dithering is the most common means of reducing the color range of images down to the 256 (or fewer) colors seen in 8-bit GIF images. Dithering is the process of juxtaposing pixels of two colors to create the illusion that a third color is present.
GIF stands for Graphics Interchange Format. GIF is a raster file format designed for relatively basic images that appear mainly on the internet. Each file can support up to 8 bits per pixel and can contain 256 indexed colors.
Its easy to make edits to GIFs. Simply upload a GIF file (from Giphy, or anywhere) to VEED, then you can add text, captions, speed up, slow down your GIF, and more. You can even convert videos to GIFs.
Dithering may make some images look better, but it increases the file size. If your software allows it, use a lower level of dithering to save extra bytes. Some software has a lossy option for saving GIFs. This option can docHubly reduce the file size, but it also reduces image quality.
Source video resolution should be 720p max, but we recommend you keep it at 480p. Keep in mind media will appear mostly on small screens or smaller messaging windows.
