Variants are opt-in features of each theme that affect the visual presentation. The easiest way to get started is to simply click on one of the thumbnails to try out another variant.
1 You can switch between PowerPoint views in two places: Use the View menu to switch between any of the views. Access the three main views (Normal, Slide Sorter, or Slide Show) on the bottom bar of the PowerPoint window.
Its easy to change some or all of the colors to suit your needs. From the Design tab, click the drop-down arrow in the Variants group.
To change the current theme to another theme: On the DESIGN tab, in the Themes group, click More. Do one of the following: Under Custom, choose a custom theme to apply. Under Office, click a built-in theme to apply. Click Browse for Themes, and locate and click a theme.
On the Insert tab, click Header Footer. On the Slide tab, select Footer, type the number or symbol you added in step 1, and then type the text that you want to appear in the footnote at the bottom of your slide. Note: The Preview area above highlights the area on the slide where your footnote will appear.
Problem: Youre unable to select and change the text in the footer at the bottom of your slides. Solution: If you cant directly edit footer text, its probably the case that the footer placeholder has been turned off in Slide Master view.
To apply the second variant of the Organic theme to the presentation, navigate to the Design tab, select the Organic theme, and then choose the second variant from the variants section.
If you change your mind, you can always change the theme or variant later on the Design tab. On the Design tab, pick a theme with the colors, fonts, and effects that you like. To apply a different color variation of a particular theme, in the Variants group, pick a variant.
