Use autofill to complete a series Highlight the cells. Youll see a small blue box in the lower right corner. Drag the blue box any number of cells down or across. If the cells form a series of dates or numbers, the series will continue across the selected cells.
Click and drag to highlight the cells. Step 3: Access the Format Options: Navigate to the menu bar and locate the Format option. Click on it to reveal the dropdown menu. Step 4: Choose Number Format: From the dropdown menu, select Number or Format Cells (the exact phrasing may vary depending on your version).
Click the Home tab and then select the Numbering drop-down button. In the drop-down menu, click More Numbering. Select Outline Numbered choose a preset then click Customize. In the Customize Outline Numbered List dialog box, we can set the settings of multilevel numbering ing to our needs.
Let me explain how it works. On the Insert tab, click the Page Number icon, and then click Page Number. Select a location, and then pick an alignment style. Word automatically numbers every page, except designated title pages. To change the numbering style, select Format and then choose the formatting you want to use.
Drag the fill handle downward while selecting cells A1 and A2. The small green box in the lower right corner of a selected cell or range of selected cells is the fill handle. Note: Based on the pattern of the first two numbers, AutoFill automatically fills in the numbers.
Use autofill to complete a series In a column or row, enter text, numbers, or dates in at least two cells next to each other. To highlight your cells, drag the corner over the cells youve filled in and the cells you want to autofill. Autofill. If you dont see Autofill, first tap More .
To renumber the body following the numbering order of the last body part, right-click and select the Continue Numbering button. Also, we can select all the numbered body parts under one heading, go to the Home tab, click the Numbering drop-button, and then More Numbering.
Place the mouse cursor at the lower right corner of the cell, when the cursor turn into a cross, click and drag down to select all the cells that we want to fill data. Then click the icon appeared in the lowerright corner, then select Flash Fill in the drop-down menu (or use shortcut key Ctrl+E).
