If the information is sorted from highest to lowest, it is said to be in descending order. For example 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 are arranged in descending order. In other words, if the numbers are arranged from the largest to the smallest number, it is said to be in descending order.
After 29 the last one is 36 in the ascending order of the given numbers. So, the numbers in ascending order are 7 12 21 29 36 or 7, 12, 21, 29, and 36.
Solution: Let us convert each of the given fractions into their decimal form so that we can compare them. Thus, the numbers arranged in descending order will be: -13/28, -5/6, -23/24​, and -7/6.
Arranging Integers in Ascending Order Firstly compare the number of digits in each number. The number with lesser digits is the smallest number. The number with the largest digits is the largest number. If the number of digits is the same, then compare the left-most digits of the numbers.
To write negative numbers in ascending order, write them from smallest to largest. The bigger the number after the negative sign, the smaller it is. For example, 5 is bigger than 3 but -5 is smaller than -3. An example of negative numbers written in ascending order is -10, -8, -5, -3, -2, -1.
